Andrew has performed with Hans ZimmerSmokey Robinson, George Benson, Missy Higgins, The Whitlams, Katie Noonan, The Bootleg Beatles, Kathryn Jenkins and Paolo Nutini, whose album Sunny Side Up he also plays on. Andrew performed on Sting’s DVD “If On A Winter’s Night” and toured the show to Paris and Germany.

In 2017 Andrew joined the Akram Khan company for the creation and international tour of Xenos. Andrew played violin for the award winning Tim Finn musical Ladies In Black in 2017 & 2015. In 2014 Andrew was concertmaster for the Opera Australia production of The King And I; and in 2016 their production of The Sound Of Music, as well as Brisbane productions of Book of Mormon and Kinky Boots.

In 2008 he played violin and viola in the National Theatre’s production of Revenger’s Tragedy and in 2009 the Sam Mendes production of The Cherry Orchard at the Old Vic.

Andrew was a principal musician for the Hofesh Shechter Company; with them he has toured extensively performing on violin, viola, electric guitar and bass in Political Mother, and In Your Rooms.

In 2019 Andrew was awarded a PhD in music composition at the University of Queensland for his research into creative collaborative composition in the context of interdisciplinary and polystylistic dyads. The two compositional outcomes were Islands (2018), an album he composed and recorded with the drummer Thomas Husmer; and Works for Violin and Movement (2018), a multi movement piece composed and recorded collaboratively with choreographer Jason Jacobs.

In 2011 Andrew collaborated on Yesterday’s Bird with Jason Jacobs. The piece is for solo violinist and solo dancer and was performed in Germany and London as part of the TanzArt ostwest festival. In the same year Andrew composed and recorded the music for the short film Small Giants which was shown at the One Young World Summit in Zurich.

Andrew has taught violin & viola for over twenty years, holding posts at St.Kevin’s College Toorak, Brisbane Girls Grammar, Anglican Church Grammar School and All Saints Anglican School. He has conducted youth string orchestras and coached chamber ensembles of various ages and abilities. In 2019 he was guest tutor on the Topology education programmes around Queensland.

Andrew has performed extensively with Topology as violinist and violist. He was second violinist in the English Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra of the Swan from 2005 until 2011. Recent orchestral performances include Chopin Piano Concerti with Yundi Li , and Celebrating Brett Dean with the ANAM Orchestra.
